The Newton B. Drury Scenic Parkway is a 10-mile scenic drive that is a must-visit if you are driving 101 south through redwood country. The area is filled with beautiful views as travelers are surrounded by redwoods the entire length of the route. There are multiple pullouts along the route that have trails of varying lengths and two must-see stops, the Big Tree Wayside and Corkscrew Tree. Each has a short trail to magnificent giant trees. Be sure to stop at the visitor center near the south end for information and to view elk in the nearby elk meadow.
